Natalie has developed a broad skill set in the field of dietetics, with experience in outpatient clinical nutrition and private nutrition counseling, corporate wellness and school food service. She started her career in dietetics serving as the Registered Dietitian/Wellness Manager with Sodexo in the Rock Hill School District, where she gained valuable experience performing food safety audits, developing menus, providing nutrition education in the classroom, and collaborating with parents and school nurses to care for students with food allergies or medical conditions requiring special attention.
Natalie moved on to pursue a position in outpatient nutrition counseling with Proactive Health under Atrium Health, where she provided nutrition services to patients for weight management, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, and food allergies/intolerances. During this time, she also worked part-time for Nutrition HealthWorks, counseling clients seeking professional guidance with weight management, chronic disease, sports nutrition, and overall health and wellness.
Natalie decided to leave patient care to explore the world of corporate wellness working as the Wellness Manager with Eurest in the Charlotte district where she implemented wellness programs and initiatives, including menu and recipe development, nutrient analysis, sector-specific program launches, health fairs, lunch and learns, and client meetings among many other things.
Natalie quickly realized that patient care is where her passion lies, and is now building up her own private practice at Healing Arts Medical. She is committed to helping patients feel their best while developing a healthy relationship with food, nourishing both the body and soul. She stands by the belief that there are no food rules, and uses a non-diet approach with mindful eating techniques as the basis of her practice.
Outside of work, Natalie stays active in the community as a member of the Charlotte Dietetic Association. In her free time, she enjoys exercising and being outdoors, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, cheering on Clemson football, and exploring all that Charlotte has to offer.
